Jenny Bowers

Jenny Bowers is a trained supervisor and leadership coach who enables educators to excel in workplaces where they can truly thrive. With over 20 years’ experience in the primary sector, she spent 12 years navigating the (mostly!) rewarding rollercoaster of the SENCO role, alongside 15 years as a safeguarding lead and nine years as a senior leader, including deputy headship and headship. Her career began as an Early Years–trained teacher, grounding her in child-centred, relational practice.

After leaving headship, Jenny dedicated her work to supporting the emotional health, wellbeing and leadership confidence of school staff, particularly SENCOs, DSLs and senior leaders, whose multiple roles often bring both complexity and pressure. She provides 1:1 and group supervision, coaching, and seminars focused on emotional health, leadership development and positive organisational culture. Known for her creative, reflective and interactive approach, she brings energy and empathy to every session.Jenny is a menopause and menstrual health trainer (licensed by Henpicked) and an associate supervisor with Education Support, the UK’s mental health charity for educators. She is co-author of Journeying to the Heart of SENCO Wellbeing (2022) and is an active member of her local community foundation and a trustee of Halifax Opportunities Trust.
