About Katie Malley

Katie Malley is a trainer, consultant, and psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience across education, safeguarding, mental health and direct work with children and families. Katie has held various senior leadership roles in education and has led on safeguarding and pastoral care, whilst working closely with children, families and multi-agency professionals.
Katie’s supervision offer is grounded in the realities of school life. She understands the emotional weight carried by DSLs, pastoral leads, SENCOs, senior leaders and staff supporting children with complex needs. Her approach is calm, reflective and relational, creating a safe space for practitioners to pause, think, process and strengthen practice.
Katie is an NSPCC Accredited Child Protection Trainer, Accredited Safer Recruitment Trainer, certified Supervisor, Trauma Informed Practitioner and Senior Trainer and Supervisor with Trauma Informed Schools UK. She has also trained in models of reflective supervision through the NSPCC, Trauma Informed Schools, APT and wider therapeutic practice.
Alongside her safeguarding and leadership expertise, Katie brings knowledge of attachment, sensory processing, child development, somatic approaches and wellbeing. Her supervision supports practitioners to remain safe, effective and connected, while developing confidence, clarity and resilience in the work they do with children, families and colleagues. Katie offers 1:1 and group supervision.
