About Danielle Gallagher
I am a highly experienced specialist in Special Educational Needs, with 35 years working across both special and mainstream education. Throughout my career, I have been a committed advocate for inclusive practice, leading the development of autism-specific outreach services, contributing to the founding of a Special School, and creating employability and preparation-for-adulthood pathways for young people with autism.
Holding degrees in Education and a master’s in special education, I bring together a strong academic foundation with extensive leadership experience. My practice is informed by research but always rooted in the lived experiences of the children, young people, and adults I work alongside. I am passionate about empowering both young people and staff, supporting schools, organisations, and individuals to build inclusive, strengths-based approaches.
I am qualified to deliver supervision, mentoring, and coaching — not only for education staff, but also for professionals in other sectors and for neurodiverse individuals navigating education or the workplace. I recognise the need to empower and support those working with children and young people in education and other settings in order to improve their outcomes.
