About Dr Bea Stevenson
Bea has over 20 years’ experience in education, with a strong commitment to supporting the wellbeing and emotional health of school communities. With a background in primary teaching, she went on to work at Teach First, where she supported the placement of student teachers across East London and developed approaches for working with school-based mentors. She has also worked with Oxfordshire County Council on their Family Hubs strategy and delivers training for Canterbury Christ Church University, The Centre for Emotional Health, and AT The Bus.
Bea’s doctoral research, awarded in 2025, explored home education in England, examining how ideas about education, home and schooling shape wider attitudes and policy towards families who educate their children at home.
Through developing the education programme at The Centre for Emotional Health, Bea came to understand supervision as a vital space for reflection, support and growth. Her supervision practice is relational, offering space to slow down, think alongside others, and reconnect with purpose in the often complex work of education.
