Julia Hancock

I am an experienced educator, leadership coach and reflective supervisor with a deep belief that those who hold space for others also need spaces where they can be held, heard and supported.

I have worked across education for many years, including as a teacher, senior leader and headteacher of a number of schools. I now work with leaders, teachers, trainees and education professionals at different stages of their careers and across stages and contexts. This breadth of experience gives me a strong understanding of the emotional, relational and professional complexities of working in education.

My approach to reflective supervision is warm, curious and grounded in presence. I offer a confidential, non judgemental space to slow down, think deeply and explore what may be sitting beneath the surface of professional experiences. I draw on coaching, reflective supervision, somatic awareness and my understanding of leadership and organisational culture, while always beginning with the person in front of me.

For me, supervision is not about providing answers. It is about creating the conditions for greater awareness, perspective and possibility, enabling educators to reconnect with themselves, their purpose and the work that matters to them
