About Rosie Heywood
I am the founder of PropelEd and bring over 25 years of senior leadership experience in education, including Head of Early Years and Junior school roles. I have a particular interest in how reflective supervision can support the growth, wellbeing and retention of educators in schools.
My work focuses on Early Years, where I support schools to develop hybrid models of supervision that combine internal leadership with external reflective space. At the heart of this is a belief that supervision should never be a “bolt-on” or a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I work closely with each school to understand their context, their people and the demands they are navigating, so that supervision feels meaningful, sustainable and genuinely supportive.
Alongside my work with schools, I lead the CoPSiEbE Business Group, supporting members who are developing their own supervision-based practice. This is a space for thinking together about how we grow our work with integrity, clarity and care.
At the core of my work is the belief that when educators feel supported, heard and able to reflect, this creates the conditions for children to thrive. Supporting adults well ultimately enables better outcomes for children.
